Welcome to Country
In the Spirit of Reconciliation, the St. Pius X school community recognizes the ongoing role of the traditional custodians of this land, the Tubba-Gah peoples of the Wiradjuri nation. It is on their ancestral lands that we continue our learning journey together.
We extend that respect to Elders, past, present and emerging. Furthermore, all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our school community. Acknowledging their presence and spiritual connection to Country.
In the light of faith, we work towards a more accepting and humble school environment for all.
Principal's Address
Catholic Schools in the modern world.
On Friday, I was fortunate enough to attend Professional Development from Prof Br David Hall from ACU. It was an interesting day, which explored the roles of Catholic Schools and the Catholic Faith in the modern world.
One key point that was made is that in a world that is more connected by technology, there has been a significant increase in the levels of disconnection, loneliness, anxiety and depression. Br David suggested that we need to start to practise gratitude. This allows us to be thankful for the world we live in and ultimately realise we are BLESSED. This allows us to connect with our faith in a true and authentic manner.
Another simple but powerful message was ‘God is Love’ and We believe that God is within us and all around us, and that we are connected to each other through ties both visible and invisible.
So essentially our Catholic faith and our Catholic School, helps us to remain connected. Which is quite significant as one of our school values is Connect.

The students' Semester One reports are currently being finalised by teachers. Students are assessed using a variety of different methods as well as skills, knowledge and understanding that is demonstrated in the classroom.
